Should I upgrade my POF account
I typically don’t write these topics on this blog and this is more a forum related issue because it fluctuates based on when you view it. I used to be a huge fan of Pof, but now, well it works for some doesn’t work for others. Based on the reviews I’ve received regarding Plentyoffish, it appears to me that Pof inadvertently created an age issue. Turning 30 on Pof is like a death nail, I’ve noticed this with men and women and I think the real problem are the age limitations Pof institutes.
Another site that has this problem is Match.com, who oddly enough bought out Pof. When online dating initially started it was a reflection of real life, now a lot of dating sites and apps sort of morphed into these boring experiences. I talk and write about Adult Friend Finder a lot. A lot of people miss the point of what I say regarding Adult Friend Finder and I’m talking about both men and women here.
As a man have you ever inadvertently found yourself attracted to a woman who if you read about her on paper you’d say to yourself I’d never date her? Women same question have you ever found yourself attracted to a man you never in your wildest dreams thought you would date? The answer is yes! Well without going into specifics POF, Match.com, Okcupid they have a failing recipe if you ask me. Are they bring people together of course they are, but they have a much larger advertising budget than does Adult Friend Finder.
The reason for this ridiculously high advertising budget is because the people that don’t find success early on have no reason to be there. Remember as you age the women or men you weren’t interested in are going to age with you, and so the cycle repeats itself. Adult Friend Finder has entertainment features, there’s multiple reasons to join Adult Friend Finder, plus as I state plenty of times it’s a swingers dating website which gives it that edge.
Is the Plentyoffish upgrade worth it?
I 100% think the pof upgrade is worth it,it’s worth the cost because it will save you truck loads of time. Knowing if someone read, or deleted your message is priceless. Time is money, time is precious, You have to know when someone is ignoring you, undecided or playing games with you. Imagine you spent 10 minutes writing a message only to find out it wasn’t read and was deleted. Might hurt your ego a little bit, but hey, now you can move on and it’s when these rejections start to mount when many of you start to realise why Match.com( the owner of Pof.com) has such a huge advertising budget and why they keep having to purchase large free dating websites.
Now to be fair a close friend of mine got married recently and he met his wife via Pof, but I have way more success stories from Adult Friend Finder that doesn’t even end in marriage, just simply having a good time. I get the stigma attached to adult dating, but as I’ve said over and over again, the world is changing and most of these dating websites aren’t changing with it. Adult Friend Finder has always been positioned to adapt to change, in many ways they’ve been ahead of the curve.
International dating is now starting to call western women as it should, I think this will take some more time, but I predict it will happen. This thing about putting limits on who you should fall in love with, these debates we’re buried a long time ago and then here comes some Left wing nutjobs doing the exact same things right wingers used to do in the80’s and 90’s which is telling people how to live their lives, trying to create a culture whereby free spirited humans are forced to do things the way society thinks it should.
Pof has too much limitations in my opinion, so if you’re going to sign up I highly recommend you upgrade your account, so when you send or receive messages you’ll know whose reading them and ignoring them, whose reading and deleting them and whose simply not reading your messages at all.
In short, take the POF upgrade, I’d say the take the 3 or 6 month’s plan, I typically give legit dating websites 3 – 6 months. But usually by month 3 I have an idea of what to expect. I used to be a huge fan of Pof until they deleted their intimate encounter feature, despite what was written about that feature, the reality was they removed that feature around the same time talks with Match.com buying them out happened. You can be the judge on that one.
